What "Professional" Actually Means Here

The real difference between a TaskRabbit handyman and a TV mounting pro

Specialized — not "general handyman"

Our techs mount 100+ TVs a month. They know exactly which mount fits a 75" Samsung QLED on a brick fireplace, and they've already done it 50 times. A general handyman doing one TV a month doesn't have that depth.

Properly equipped truck

Stud finders, laser levels, hammer drills, masonry bits, multiple anchor types, every common VESA bolt size, fish tape, low-voltage cable, raceway in three colors. We don't run to Home Depot mid-job.

Insured installation

Full liability insurance covers your home, your TV, and any accidental damage. A handyman without coverage is your liability if something cracks. Our certificate of insurance is available on request.

Background-checked technicians

Every installer on our team passes a background check before they enter your home. You'll get a tech profile by text before arrival — name, photo, vehicle.

Locked-in flat rates

No hourly billing, no "this is going to take longer than I thought" surprises. Quote is confirmed before we arrive — written down, sent by text. That's it.

2-year written warranty

Most handymen offer no warranty at all. We back every install in writing for 2 years — if your mount shifts, loosens, or fails, we return free of charge. Same local team, same number to call.

5 Years. 5,000+ Detroit TVs Mounted.

When we say professional, we mean it's literally what we do — full-time, every day, with the volume to back the claim.

When Hiring a Professional Really Matters

Some jobs are forgiving. These aren't.

Above-fireplace installs

Heat management, viewing angle, masonry drilling — all in one job. One mistake cracks the surround. Fireplace mounting →

85"+ TVs (2-tech jobs)

Large screens need two trained installers, the right reinforced mount, and stud-confirmed structure. Drop = thousands of dollars.

In-wall wire concealment

Code-compliant low-voltage cable, proper boxes, no fire-block violations. Done wrong, it's a hazard. Done right, you can't even tell.

Stone & tile walls

Diamond bits, slow drilling, anchor placement that lands in solid stone (not mortar). One wrong drill point = a cracked tile, a ruined surround.

Multi-TV / commercial

Restaurants, gyms, offices. Multiple TVs on a tight schedule, often with cable management, signage, and ADA height requirements.

Older Detroit homes

Plaster + lath, balloon framing, post-1920 wiring. Each demands a different anchor strategy. We've seen them all across Detroit Metro.

Professional TV Mounting — FAQ

What customers ask before hiring a pro vs a handyman

Why hire a professional TV mounter instead of doing it myself?

DIY works for small TVs on simple drywall if you're comfortable with a stud finder and drill. For 55"+ TVs, masonry walls, above-fireplace installs, or in-wall wire concealment, the cost of the right tools alone can exceed our flat rate — and a wrong drill into a stud bay can mean drywall repair, a damaged TV, or a cracked tile. Pros save you the risk and the trip to Home Depot.

How are you different from TaskRabbit, Thumbtack, or Angi handymen?

Those platforms are aggregators — anyone with a profile gets jobs, regardless of TV mounting experience. We're a dedicated TV installation company with full-time employees who do this every day, with company-supplied trucks, tools, and insurance. Same standard every time, same warranty, same number to call if something needs follow-up.

Are your TV installers licensed and insured?

Yes — we carry full general liability insurance for residential and commercial work. Certificate of insurance is available on request before the appointment. Every installer is also background-checked.

Will the same tech come back if I need warranty service?

Often yes — and even if a different team member comes, they have your full job notes and the original mount specs in our system. The warranty is with the company, not a freelancer who may have moved on.

Can you handle complex setups — soundbar, gaming, in-wall wiring?

Yes. Soundbar mounting and connection $79. In-wall HDMI/power concealment from $99. Console connection, AV receiver hookup, streaming device setup — all bundled into a "full setup" add-on. Just describe what you need on the quiz and we'll quote everything together.

What size TVs do you mount?

Anywhere from 24" up to 98"+. For TVs over 85", we send a 2-tech team — the weight and size require two installers for safe handling. There's a small surcharge for 2-tech jobs that's quoted upfront.
